The ecologically sustainable emphasis of this building addition is evident everywhere—in the planning, building form, details and siting. The details also reflect innovative responses to budget constraints. Much of the building’s character relies on its connection to the adjacent gardens and vegetation; it will only improve as the landscaping develops.
